The premiere HERE IS A HEART collection is a series of plush hearts, inspired by the song from which this project takes its name - “Here Is a Heart,” which appears on Jenny’s sophomore album Transmitter Failure. Jenn Michelle handcrafted the hearts from recycled fabric, buttons and stuffing.
The first limited edition batch of 5 incorporates the fabric of a shirt formerly belonging to Jenny and bearing the logo of RCA Records. Jenn Michelle has also created hang loops from Jenny’s recycled guitar strings for each plush. These hearts are available now on Etsy. (Click click click).
100% of the proceeds from the sale of the hearts will be donated to Stand Up To Cancer.
Stand Up To Cancer is a new initiative created to accelerate groundbreaking cancer research that will get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives. IDEAL VALENTINES.
Announcing HERE IS A HEART - a creative collaboration between me and my dear friend/crafter/cancer survivor Jenn Michelle Pedini. The goal is to raise awareness and donations for charitable organizations near and dear to our hearts. Kinda like an internet bake sale… but with handmade crafts instead of brownies.
The first batch of hearts (pictured above) is now on sale HERE. These particular little guys are made from, among other things, a recycled t-shirt of mine and some retired guitar strings.
All proceeds will be donated to Stand Up To Cancer.
