Honouring Jenny’s birthday, DVD-Domino style.
Last weekend, Tijn and An were totally dating. One of Tijn’s friends left a huge box filled with DVD’s. Only he has the most terrible taste in movies so we decided to get creative with them. And the DVD-Domino world record needed a new impulse anyway. We build 3 tracks. This little one is for someone very special.Posted on November 23, 2009 via Jenny Pics with 3 notes

To Write Love On Her Arms Day 2009
My lovely mom just informed me that today is To Write Love On Her Arms Day 2009. To be honest, I was not aware of this organization until just now; my research on self-injury tapered off after I stopped engaging in the act. When I was in high school and starting to really get into things, there were precious few resources for a kid seeking answers (why am I doing this? am I alone? etc.)… The internet was not yet what it has come to be, and self-injury was only just beginning to be acknowledged as something completely separate from depression and suicide. Eating disorders were being covered extensively in the media, but SI was still a little too strange. It warms me to see this organization (and others like it, which I intend to discover ASAP, if they exist) is here and real.
Mission statement from the website:
To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
